ABSTRACT - The issue of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission has been drawing increasing attention from both the government and the private sectors in an attempt to ensure a sustainable environment. This study aims to investigate the emission of CO2 by transportation and detection capability of green trees to absorb gas CO2 through Geographical Information System (GIS) application. GIS application is a user-friendly database managed by PostgreSQL and a webserver and is able to perform simple statistical analyses that are required for making data comparisons, estimations and inferences through spatial mapping. It also allows for data to be easily updated and is able to synchronize data formatting. This study has determined the amount of CO2 emitted by the transportation sector and the capability of green trees to absorb CO2, as well as provide a single comprehensive database that can be used to manage CO2 emission. In conclusion, the findings of this study has provided useful information that can be used by the government and the private sectors to formulate strategies to minimize carbon emissions by the transportation sector in order to achieve the target of reducing emissions by 45% by the year 2030.

ABSTRACT - As female teenage crime is no longer a surprising issue, a good rate of self concept works as preventive factors. However, the self concept of female adolescent offenders often receive minimal public attention. In addition, as female adolescent offenders are having higher tendency of poor psychological health compares to other adolescent in general population, knowing in-depth information regarding their coping strategies is essential. Therefore, several purpose of this study, are to describe the self concept of female adolescent offenders in juvenile detention centre, to explore the factors of building self concept for female adolescent offenders in juvenile detention center as well as to explore the the coping strategies of female adolescent offenders in juvenile detention center. The research was conducted in qualitative approach using interview with seven participants in two juvenile detention center in the city of Tangerang, Indonesia. The study found that female adolescent offenders are having negative self concept from various dimensions as they tends to perceived themselves in a negative ways. Some of the factors that contribute to this conditions include their relationship with their significant others such as parents and peers as well as negative stigma from the society regarding their status. The feeling of guilt and shame towards parents as well as pessimism regarding the future is the key factor that influenced the negative self concept. As for the coping strategies, female adolescent offenders tends to implement emotion focused coping in various forms as there are limited access to perform problem focused coping in the prison. This study suggest society to change the negative perception towards prisoners as well as developing positive activities that enhanced the psychological well being of the offenders.

ABSTRACT - This study conducted in the Malaysia Armed Forces that owns the aging asset. It aimed to investigate the strategies to prolong the asset life cycle which improved the asset performance. This study was driven due to insufficiency findings in the literature regarding aging asset management. Therefore, this study has explored many asset management frameworks such as Asset Related Activities, Asset Management, Asset Life Cycle and Capabilities Enhancement Life Cycle Model in developing Aging Asset Manegement Model. 29 research participants consist of the Subject Matter Expert and the employees involved directly managing aging asset were interviewed. Related documents were also analysed to determine the pattern. From this study, it was found that the current asset management model was not incorporate with aging asset issues. Hence, this study has offers an aging asset management model in every state of asset life.

ABSTRACT - The involvement of dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) in cognitive control particularly attention and cognitive flexibility has been proved in neuroscience research. Dysfunction of DLPFC can cause cognitive decline. Traditional South East Asian vegetables (ulam) contains high flavonoids content which may lead to better attention and cognitive flexibility. The study aims to determine the differences between high and low traditional South East Asian vegetables (ulam) consumption and the relationship between ulam and dietary nutrients intakes with DLPFC activation using Stroop Color Word Test (SCWT) among aging adults. This is a cross-sectional comparative study of differences on DLPFC activation between high ulam consumption (≥40g/day) (n=16) and low ulam consumption (<40g/day) (n=16) among aging population (aged 45-75 years old) recruited from low income residential areas in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Validated Dietary History Questionnaires and Food Frequency Questionnaire was used to assess dietary and ulam intake. Cognitive flexibility and attention were assessed using SCWT task using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scanning. Brodmann’s area of 9 and 46 were identified as region of interest (ROI) for the DLPFC activation. The high ulam consumption subjects had greater DLPFC activation as compared to low ulam consumption subjects (p<0.05, family-wise error corrected). Ulam contains polyphenol properties that may attenuate apoptosis, remove reactive oxygen species and prevent oxidative stress that cause cognitive decline. In conclusion, increased ulam intake was related to greater DLPFC activation which is responsible for attention and cognitive flexibility. However, further clinical trials are needed to investigate the mechanism of action underlying these relationships.

Abstract - Malaysian financial system and takaful industry are rapidly develop and changing to suit with customer needs. A broad knowledge about customers’ acceptance factors towards family takaful will give a lot of advantages to the takaful provider in term of marketing strategic planning for the future. The relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction would be the major concern of this study. This study is carried out (i) to identify the acceptance level of family takaful; and (ii) to examine the relationships between service quality and customer satisfaction towards family takaful. In this study, Service Quality Model (SERVQUAL), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Diffusion of Innovation Theory are the theoretical foundation for the development of the framework. The study focuses on demographic characteristics of family takaful policyholders. The analyses used in this study include descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression, factor analysis and reliability analysis. The findings met the objectives of this study. The acceptance level of family takaful is at the medium level and the important factors affecting customers’ acceptance towards family takaful are assurance, takaful agent, and company performance.

ABSTRACT - Many of the studies have been conducted about how individuals view about their meaning in life, life satisfaction or happiness. Although there are many studies have been conducted on adolescents’ meaning in life, life satisfaction or happiness, however, there are lack of researches conducted on adolescents’ meaning in life, life satisfaction and happiness. Thus, this research is aimed to explore how the adolescents perceived meaning in life, to identify the factors of adolescents’ satisfaction and to identify the factors that contribute to adolescents’ happiness in life. The study has used qualitative method using phenomenological approach. Total five participants were participated in an interview session. Collected data were analysed using coding and themes. The research has found that, future path, relationship, psychological well-being, subjective well-being, financial, fun and significant are the factors in their meaning in life, life satisfaction and happiness. On this basis, it is recommended for the parents to understand their child rearing skills on their children. Therefore, further researches can be done to find out whether parenting styles play an important role in the adolescents’ meaning in life, life satisfaction and happiness.
